OIL AND GAS LEASE AUCTION ANNOUNCED LANSING - The Michigan Department of Natural Resources
proposes to conduct a State Oil and Gas Lease Auction on
June 13, 2002, at the Hannah Building, 608 West Allegan in
Lansing.
Lands under consideration for oil and gas leasing include
approximately 37,000 acres in the following counties:
Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Arenac, Benzie, Clare, Crawford,
Gladwin, Grand Traverse, Iosco, Kalkaska, Lake, Livingston,
Manistee, Mason, Mecosta, Missaukee, Montcalm, Montmorency,
Newaygo, Oceana, Osceola, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, and
St. Clair.
Auction booklets containing property descriptions and total
acreage in each county will be available at the Forest,
Mineral and Fire Management Division office in Lansing.
