Well if you put your time in on the big waters of
Lake Ontario you can be rewarded. Most people feel
that you have to rush to the rivers now to catch some salmon, not true! Speaking for myself, I've
had to work hard for the fish I'm catching.
But we had a nice catch of 4 Chinook, And 1 Coho
Salmon today, the fish weighed from 12-28lbs.for
the Kings and 9lbs. for the Coho. The winds stop
blowing from the south and switched to the NW.
and got lumpy, this lowered the thermal Cline down
We fished in 125' of water, where the bait and fish we marked were down from 85-125' down.
Four of those fish came on Northern King spoons,
only one was caught on Cut-bait.
So don't put the boats away yet, go out and catch
the fever....
