Corrections noted in 2003 Antlerless Deer Hunting Guide
As hunters throughout Michigan today began applying for 2003 antlerless deer hunting permits, state wildlife officials noted an error in the printed version of the 2003 Antlerless Deer Hunting Guide.
The hunt table listing Deer Management Units (DMUs) open for public land hunting should read as follows:
DMU 027 and 043 are OPEN to public antlerless deer hunting. DMU 023, 036 and 083 are CLOSED to public antlerless deer hunting.
The application period for a public antlerless license is from July 1 to Aug. 1, 2003. The corrections above have been made on the DNR website, www.michigan.gov/dnr.
