Volunteers needed at Wetzel State Park cleanup
The Friends of Wetzel State Park in Macomb County are looking for people with spring cleaning fever.
The Friends group today announced an April 26 spring clean-up at the park, from 8 a.m. to noon. All volunteers are welcome and advised to bring heavy work gloves to the Flying Field to get started. Lunch will be provided at noon.
Wetzel State Park is an undeveloped park, offering areas for hiking, hunting, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. The park’s flying field draws people from the Radio Control Club of Detroit and others interested in testing model and remote-controlled aircraft.
