All three of the following programs are approximately 11/2 hours in length. * Frogs and Toads: Saturday, April 20, 2 p.m. View Michigan frog and toad species we may encounter in Michigan and learn some of the distinctive characteristics of each through a slide presentation, then take a short walk to look for frogs that have already begun singing. * Spring Wildflowers: Saturday, May 11, 2 p.m. This is a wildflower walk where an abundance of beautiful blooms should be evident. Guides will observe, identify and discuss some natural history and folklore about the wildflowers encountered along the trail. * Birding For Beginners Saturday, May 25, 9 a.m. Bird watching begins at the visitor center and branches out from there in search of migratory species that may be heard or seen, as well as year-round residents.
