MAYBURY STATE PARK OFFERS TWO WINTER PROGRAMS

LANSING--Maybury State Park invites all winter outdoor
enthusiasts to participate in a Winter Hike on Saturday,
Jan. 26, beginning at 2 p.m. Meet at the parking area near
the riding stable on Beck Road to explore the woods around
Maybury Pond, looking for the signs of the season.
On Saturday, Feb. 23, Maybury offers February on the Farm,
an insider's view of farm life during the winter months.
This program, which begins at 2 p.m., allows visitors to see
how the animals keep warm all winter, and learn what the
farmer does to keep the farm running smoothly all season
long. Meet on the porch of the classroom building in front
of Maybury Farm.
Both programs are free; however, a state park motor vehicle
permit is required for entry to the park. Maybury is
located on Eight Mile Road, one mile west of Beck Road in
Northville Township. For more information, call 248-349-
3858.
